Armguards: Its two main purposes are to protect the forearm and wrist area from the bowstring and to keep bulky sleeves from catching the bowstring in cold weather.
Gloves or Tabs: A shooting glove or tab is necessary to protect the shooter's fingers from discomfort and allows the bowstring to easily slip from the fingers.
